Honey I'm home....

The Wanderer returns! At least for a short while... There is just time enough to gather everyone back into our Australian nest, before launching into the new year ahead (Australian Universities have incredibly only just started for the year)...We do however find the time to book some more holidays, so don't put your suitcase away just yet!

My last trip lasted 100 days, and took me from Australia to India, to Europe and back again. I certainly covered some ground....When I was in Bristol, UK I found this sign saying I was 12,489 N miles from Melbourne...

Before I went off traveling I bought this little bird below, which I thought looked a bit like a Wandering Wren. I left her on the kitchen bench looking after everyone. Today I thought my wren might like a trip out into the garden, so here she is!

It was a shock to be back because Melbourne has experienced some scorching weather in the past few months, many of the trees in the garden are looking burnt and frazzled. We went into a premature autumn as leaves turned brown and fell from the trees.

This record breaking spell of hot weather fortunately comes on the heels of a very wet winter. It has been over 30 degrees (celsius) for the longest period of time since records began. Today it is 36 degrees on the cars temperature gauge. Here is Mutt above trying to find a cool patch of green amongst the scorched leaves.....

Do you like my new look blog site? This is entirely due to my wonderful Blog Professor Neesie Natters who is so generous with her time, ideas and encouragement. Of course I have a long, long way to go to reach Neesie's dizzy heights... If you want to see what I mean, pop over to visit Neesie at http://neesienatters.blogspot.com/....

I've learnt a lot about blogging whilst I have been away. Although the more you do, the more you realise there is so much more to learn. I was determined to complete the whole trip with just my iPad and iPhone. Now I am back to view the photos on my old desktop I can see wot my brother was on about when he said 'your photos are naff'! I think I am loosing resolution transposing them from the iPad or iPhone through my photo collage site. But if any experienced bloggers have any tips to improve my photo resolution, do share!

In the meantime, it's good to be back....to blogging of course silly!!!

See you again soon!

Yeah! Little Wandering Wren has returned ;D
What a lovely surprise when I peeked into your blog this morning to find you had landed.
You are so kind to say what you do about my little help, which I have to say was such a pleasure because you made me remember just what a buzz a post or a technical achievement can give when it works!
I can't wait to read more of your escapades...I know we'll all be in for a treat :D

Hello Summer 2023!

Hello Everyone I hope you are having a wonderful July whereever you are in the world. As it's been a wee while since I stopped by I thought I'd fill you in.  The last three months have been epic. As they say I haven't been everywhere yet but it's on my list! April ended up being an incredible month as I returned to Australia, thanks to a wonderful invite to attend a 7 night Detox at Gwinganna Lifestyle Retreat in Queensland. Here is a little excerpt:  Gwinganna Detox Program I’ve been invited to join a  seven-night detox program  at Gwinganna Lifestyle Retreat. They are winners of the  World’s Best Eco Spa Awards  (2022 World Spa Awards) and it is beyond exciting. Well, until I read the small print… So it’s no gluten, dairy,

Autumn Spice and everything nice!

Hey, what ever happened to Summer? I hope yours was lovely, mine was pretty amazing! It feels like my whole year has whizzed past in a flash, how about yours?  I've had a year of saying "yes" to everything offered to me. It has been exciting to put it out to the Universe to see where I should be. We feel very fortunate to be able to do this in my husband's early years of retirement. I'm just back in Asia from the US. I never feel my year is quite right without seeing British daffodils in the Spring and a pumpkin and the leaves turning in Autumn. Yay, the world nailed it this year, thank you.  Read on to find out what happened when my ultimate yes occurred on a trip to Montana to meet Ruth, an IG friend. I know Bloggers will smile and not be at all concerned, we've been meeting up around the globe for years, haven't we...?!  But let's just say some of my family and friends were, you're doing what?! But first some Little Wren updates! France I had so

It's a funny old world!
